Job Summary

Camps Bay Beach Hotel PTY LTD is conducting a search to identify a General Manager to lead their Autograph Hotel, Autograph Camps Bay. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to serve as the General Manager for our newly franchised Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel in the picturesque location of Camps Bay, South Africa. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, and driving the overall success of the property.

Job Requirements

  • Creating and maintaining a culture of excellence driven by the company core values.

  • Provide strong leadership to senior team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Recruit and mentor senior team to ensure high levels of productivity and guest and team member satisfaction.

  • Set clear expectations, performance goals, and provide regular feedback.

  • Monitor guest and team member feedback and implement improvements.

  • Work with senior team to develop and execute strategic plans to maximize revenue and profitability.

  • Monitor financial performance through budget management, revenue forecasting, and cost control.

  • Implement strategies to increase hotel occupancy, average daily rate (ADR).

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

  • Work with the safety department to implement and enforce health and safety standards.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to increase
    overall revenue.

  • Represent the Autograph Camps Bay in the local community and build positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • Participate in community events and initiatives to enhance the establishment, presence, and reputation.

  • Experience working with a brand franchise or third-party representation.

  • Communication and collaboration with co-owners and oversight of owner services to ensure co-owner satisfaction.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration.

  • Five years as a hotel or General manager.

  • Proven experience as a General Manager in a hotel.

  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and guest service.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to make strategic decisions and drive results.

  • In-depth knowledge of Marriott standards and procedures.

  • Execute guest journey experience & the mark as per the branding of the Hotel.
