Astor Automotive Branch Accountant - Motor Dealership Jobs on South Africa



Key Responsibilities

  • Full control of banking, petty cash, CODs, debtors, and creditors.

  • Daily processing, reconciliations, and payment preparation.

  • Ensure debtors and creditors remain within agreed terms.

  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.

  • Monitor WIP, warranty claims, and workshop documentation flow.

  • Prepare daily operating controls (DOC) and workshop productivity reports.

  • Analyse income statements, balance sheets, and budgets.

  • Manage fixed assets, audits, capex applications, and asset registers.

  • Prepare management and departmental meeting reports.

  • Handle internal accounts, maintenance plans, and sundry invoicing.

  • Maintain excellent financial controls, filing, and compliance with company policies.

  • Support departmental managers through insights, reporting, and collaboration.

    Minimum Requirements
  • BCom Degree in Accounting or similar qualification.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role (retail motor dealership experience highly advantageous).

  • Code 8 Driver’s Licence.

  • Solid understanding of dealership financial processes and controls.
