Within Uganda, Kampala
Assist the Team Leader to: Manage day to day project activities at AOGU and report to the national project coordinator. Organize and facilitate project activities at the AOGU Head office, regularly liaise with the project team and technical supervisors to ensure that activities are performed and timelines kept.
Ensure that training materials and equipment are available and ready for use by the trainers and trainees during training.
Draft and update the Project Schedules/Activities File and Critical Document Checklist.
Collaborate with the various partners and stakeholders who will have an influence on the success of the project.
Be secretary to Project technical committee and securely keep all minutes.
Be In-charge of the Archive and records.
Arrange and attend teleconferences and meetings of the project as needed at AOGU.
Participate in some of the training and mentorship activities and ensure that documents/all activities are being carried out as planned.
Coordinate Staff travel to the field.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the National Project Coordinator
Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience: The Candidate should at least have a Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Public administration or related field.
He/she should have at least 3 years’ experience in Office Administration and Management. Experience in working with Local Governments in Project Implementation will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Proven ability to demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, perseverance, highly motivated with a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a Team.
Good problem solving, decision making and analytical abilities.
A very high standard of Personal Integrity.
