Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya Regional Manager - APDK Mombasa Jobs ; The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK) is a leading NGO advocating for the rights, rehabilitation, and empowerment of persons with disabilities. The Regional Manager – Coast Region provides overall strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial management for APDK’s programs and assets across the three branches in Mombasa: Likoni Furniture, Portreiz Rehabilitation Clinic, and Bombolulu Workshop & Cultural Centre (BWCC).
Key Responsibilities
Drive execution of APDK’s strategic plan within the Coast Region.
Direct multi‑disciplinary regional teams across rehabilitation, furniture, orthopaedic production, finance, and administration.
Ensure effective governance, risk management, asset safeguarding, and compliance with policies and labor laws.
Oversee development, implementation, and monitoring of regional budgets.
Champion financial sustainability by managing income‑generating units and identifying new revenue streams.
Write donor proposals and lead resource mobilization efforts.
Oversee implementation of Community‑Based Rehabilitation (CBR), mobile outreach clinics, and health programs.
Ensure mobility devices and rehabilitation products meet statutory standards (e.g., KEBS).
Serve as APDK’s ambassador in the Coast Region,
building networks with County Governments, NCPWD, sponsors, and civil society.
Mobilize community buy‑in and enhance organizational visibility.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, Healthcare Management, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
5–7 years’ progressive management experience in NGO, health sector, or social enterprise, with at least 3 years in regional/senior supervisory role.
Proven knowledge of Community‑Based Rehabilitation (CBR), disability advocacy, and marginalized groups.
Experience managing business portfolios.
Demonstrated success in budget management, staff mentorship, asset management, and resource mobilization.
Active registration with a professional body (e.g., KIM, IHRM) preferred.
