Artcaffe Coffee and Bakery Quality Assurance Assistant Jobs in Kenya; The Quality Assurance Assistant will support the implementation and monitoring of the Food Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 22000:2018 and other applicable standards. The role involves daily audits, traceability checks, corrective actions, and customer complaint analysis to maintain high food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Food Safety Management System

Implement, monitor, and maintain FSMS in line with ISO 22000:2018.

Participate in Food Safety Team activities, Management Reviews, and improvement initiatives.

Audits & Verification

Conduct daily audits of CCPs, OPRPs, and PRPs.

Report deviations and ensure corrective actions are documented and closed.

Escalate significant risks or repeated non‑conformities.

Customer Complaints & Traceability

Maintain and update the Customer Complaints Log.

Analyse complaint data to identify trends and risks.

Conduct daily traceability verification and participate in mock recalls.

Corrective Actions

Initiate Corrective Action Requests for major non‑conformities.

Ensure responsible departments implement corrective actions within timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Science & Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.

1–2 years’ experience in a busy food manufacturing industry.

Training & Certification

ISO 22000:2018 and HACCP implementation.

Internal Auditor Certificate in ISO 22000:2018, Food Safety, or Quality Management Systems.

Knowledge

Food safety, occupational health and safety, and quality regulatory requirements.

Added Advantage

Training in FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, TACCP, VACCP, Food Defence, Food Fraud.

Experience in food sampling and laboratory testing.

Training in First Aid, Fire Safety, Emergency Response, or Risk Assessment.

Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements in the food industry.
