Key Result Areas;

• Budgeting and Planning Take lead in the AJLVTI management team in the development of the annual budgets and or project specific budget

• Financial System Development and Oversight - Develop, manage and implement an efficient finance management system with appropriate controls; act as the systems administrator for the Quickbooks:

• Finance Analysis, Reporting and advisory

• Prepare accurate, timely, and prudent financial and management information reports to support effective financial decisions

• Disbursements of payments - Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds; ensuring that payments are made to vendors, implementing partners, service providers and other stakeholders:

• Financial Administration Ensure that routine financial administration is carried out in accordance with good accounting practice; adhering to AJLVTI financial policies and to the donor/funder agreements:

• Team Management - Lead the Accounts Officer effectively and efficiently to ensure the provision of high levels of (internal & external) service:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting Option) or (BBS) Business Studies/(BBA) Administration (Accounting Option) from a recognized University/Institution.

• Relevant business degree such as Business Administration, Accounting /

Finance, Commerce, Business Management Certification in Accounting in either ACCA, CPA or CIMA

• Relevant Experience

• 5 years' experience in similar position or Senior Assistant Accountant in a reputable Institution Good knowledge of IFRS and Taxation Management

• Good computer skills (advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet/Email) and familiarity with QuickBooks

• Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills
