Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibility will be to:-

  • Handle all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail to ensure smooth running of activities and information;

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the reception area;

  • Maintain vigilance of any security threats and report any security issues to the appropriate office;

  • Ensure customer/client enquiries are escalated to the appropriate staff and reverted to the customer/client within the agreed turnaround time;

  • Receive, filtering and transferring calls through the switchboard to the respective department for action; and

  • Report faults on the communication lines to the officer in charge.

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

  • A Diploma in Customer Care, Front Office Management, Secretarial Services;

  • A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade of at least C- (minus) or its recognized equivalent;

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a related field; and

  • Proficiency in use of computer applications.
