Duties and Responsibilities

  • Typing from manuscripts;

  • Recording dictation in shorthand and transcribing it in typewritten form;

  • Assisting in processing data;

  • Management of e-office;

  • Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment; operating office equipment;

  • Assisting in management of office protocol;

  • Managing office petty cash;

  • Handling telephone calls and appointments; and

  • Assisting in undertaking any other secretarial duties that may be assigned.

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Secretarial Studies or Bachelor of Business and Office Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution; and

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

    Essential skills and Competencies

  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented.
