Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulating, implementing and coordinating of information communication technology policies, strategies and programmes;

  • Evaluating user requests for new, modified or updated software application;

  • Evaluating programmes to determine feasibility and compatibility with current system;

  • Designing specifications aimed at the computerization and networking of all functions, activities and processes of the board;

  • Ensuring adherence to information communication technology policies, procedures and standards;

  • Coordinating information systems security audits, reporting and making recommendations to strengthen ICT security systems;

  • Facilitating procurement of ICT equipment and services;

  • Reviewing, testing and evaluating both hardware systems and software programmes to determine their efficiency reliability and compatibility and recommending data communication systems; and

  • Investigating and resolving computer hardware and software problems reported by users.

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Twelve (12) years cumulative experience, four (4) of which should have been at Principal Information Communication Technology Officer or a comparable position in a reputable organization;

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

  • Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines:
    - Computer Science, Information
    Communication Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

  • Relevant ICT certifications such as CCNP, MCSE, CISA, CISSP, Prince 2 or equivalent
    qualification from a recognized institution;

  • Be a member to a relevant professional body;

  • Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage; and

  • Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capability as reflected in work performance and results.

  • ICT analytical and manipulative skills.

  • Conversant with current ICT trends.

  • Data analysis skills.

  • Innovative skills.
