AMSAF East Africa Limited is a platform for agricultural aggregation, trading and financing operating in Uganda. AMSAF provides a digital platform food system stakeholders connect with each other and to the resources they need to thrive. Grain Buyers and Grain Sellers, Inputs Suppliers and Farmers, Financial Institutions and Borrowers all transact over AMSAF to improve their capacity utilization, access to suppliers and access to customers.

AMSAF is a joint venture between Star Agri and Asili Agriculture. Star Agri is India’s leading post- harvest management solution provider. Asili is Uganda’s leading agricultural producer and wholesaler. The two partners have joined forces to leverage their technology, competencies and networks to establish the largest regional platform for grain trade and agriculture financing.

Main Responsibilities

• The Supplier Relationship Manager will be responsible for identifying, on-boarding and managing relationships with Corporate Off-takers who will buy raw materials on AMSAF.

• Identify grain suppliers who would be candidates to join AMSAF

• Assess, prepare, and present pre-qualified suppliers for aggregation loans iv. Build and maintain AMSAF supplier pipeline

• Explain the value proposition of AMSAF to grain suppliers

• Explain the trader aggregation loan terms and conditions

• Explain AMSAF business rules to the grain supplier

• On-board grain suppliers by
explaining AMSAF policies, procedures, pricing

• Manage the relationship between AMSAF and the suppliers

• Prepare sales and contracting paperwork for suppliers

• Develop strategies to increase sales

• Prepare reports on sales objectives and results

• Troubleshoot issues regarding quality

  • Follow up purchase order fulfilment Various other tasks related to increasing the volume of trade transacted on AMSAF

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:

    • Diploma (preferably degree) in Agricultural Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Community Development, or similar field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

    • Demonstrated experience in working with farmers, farmer groups, and traders. Sales experience is considered advantageous.

    • Familiarity with the Eastern Uganda region and proficiency in languages spoken in this area (Lugisu, Lusoga, Swahili, Samia).
