Amref International University Technical Lead-Health Professions Education Jobs in Kenya; Develop quarterly and annual strategic workplans in collaboration with line functional and operational supervisors (DVC‑RCE and regional PEP project manager).

  • Generate and share relevant project reports with the regional project manager through the Research and Community Extension office at AMIU.

  • Participate in development and implementation of project logical frameworks and M&E plans.

  • Support project team in planning, implementation, and evaluation of relevant project activities.

  • Work with stakeholders including regulatory bodies to co‑create and supervise implementation of HPE activities in the regional PEP project.

  • Liaise with project staff in implementation sites to ensure harmonious execution and reporting of planned activities.

    Technical Support

  • Design and implement evidence‑based educational programs in selected partner institutions.

  • Design and implement relevant education research studies across partner institutions.

  • Mentor and coach healthcare educators and clinical supervisors on novel, innovative, and active teaching methodologies.

  • Foster productive linkages and networks with entities and partners to ensure successful implementation of PEP project activities.

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for educational programs.

  • Oversee establishment of Simulation Based Learning (SBL) Centres of Excellence in the region.

  • Conduct operational research to establish effectiveness of PEP project interventions.

  • Organize project advocacy forums.

  • Identify project risks and initiate appropriate interventions.

  • Monitor and document progress in HPE components of the PEP project.

  • Liaise with Online and Blended Learning (OBL) teams at AMIU and Amref Health Africa to integrate innovative digital learning and disruptive training solutions in partner institutions’ curricula.

  • Support AMIU faculty to develop and implement competency‑based curricula.

    Community and Resource Mobilisation and Sensitization

  • Engage stakeholders to enhance adoption of evidence‑based PEP project models and concepts.

  • Drive targeted audience mobilization and sensitization in implementation sites.

  • Identify strategic resource persons to enhance achievement of PEP project goals.

  • Establish and sustain strategic relationships with stakeholders to facilitate successful project implementation.

  • Identify opportunities for project growth and communicate them to program lead and AMIU DVC Research and Community Extension.

  • Contribute to fundraising concept notes and proposals based on emerging opportunities.

    Financial Management

  • Strategically manage financial resources allocated to HPE activities and share reports with the regional project manager through AMIU’s DVC Research
    and Community Extension.

    Research and Innovations

  • Develop and implement research protocols, data collection, report writing, and dissemination.

  • Support Research Directorate in grant writing and implementation of research activities.

  • Support AMIU faculty and graduate students to develop and implement education research studies.

  • Support PEP partner institutions to develop and implement education research studies.

  • Contribute to dissemination of best practices in scientific conferences.

    Reporting and Documentation

  • Assist in data entry and analysis of project activities.

  • Provide relevant reports as per project and donor requirements.

  • Capitalize on best practices and lessons learnt by developing success stories for publication.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

  • Earned PhD in a health‑related field.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Education field.

  • Master’s in HPE, Education Technology, or related field from a recognized university.

    Required Experience

  • Knowledgeable in project management, designing, and deployment of innovative training interventions including Simulation Based Learning (SBL).

  • Knowledgeable in conducting education research with at least 3 publications in HPE.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in curriculum development and training of Human Resource for Health (HRH).

  • Experience in evaluating health education programs.

  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders in a health development project or program.
