Amref International University Part-Time Lecturer Community Health Jobs in Kenya

Part time lecturer will; The TVET Directorate of Amref International University wishes to engage TVET trainers on a part‑time basis. The trainer is expected to be available to teach, assess, and mentor students.

Principal Responsibilities

Instruct trainees in specific course units in adherence to curriculum and occupational standards.

Plan, conduct, and assess practicals in assigned course units.

Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and lecture notes.

Prepare internal exams, conduct validation, and administer exams.

Carry out continuous assessments.

Supervise and assess trainees in the course area.

Mark, grade, and enter grades into ERP for assigned units.

Supervise trainees on industrial attachment.

Prepare trainees for external exams by providing practical technical skills.

Maintain appropriate records and make them available as required.

Adhere to exam preparation and processing schedule.

Attend all class contact hours as assigned.

Mentor students.

Invigilate examinations, both internal and external.

Monitor class attendance records.

Perform other duties as assigned by the HOD or Director.

Qualifications

We are looking for Part‑Time Lecturers in the following areas:

Health Records & ICT

Bachelor of Science in Health Records and Information Management.

Registered and licensed by the Health Records & Information Management Board.

Relevant teaching experience of at least

2 years in a TVET institution.

Certificate in Pedagogy or registered by TVETA as a trainer.

2 years of industry experience will be an added advantage.

Social Work

Bachelor of Arts in Social Work & Community Development.

Relevant teaching experience of at least 2 years in a TVET institution.

Certificate in Pedagogy or registered by TVETA as a trainer.

2 years of industry experience will be an added advantage.

Environmental Sciences

Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences.

Relevant teaching experience of at least 2 years in a TVET institution.

Certificate in Pedagogy or registered by TVETA as a trainer.
