AMREF Flying Doctors First Officer Jobs in Kenya

Amref Health Africa was officially founded in 1957 to deliver mobile health services and to provide mission hospitals with surgical support. A medical radio network was developed to coordinate the service, and provide communication.



Responsibilities


  • Act as flight crew on AMREF Flying Doctors missions which include outreach flights, medical evacuations and other flights with the highest of safety standards;
  • Maintain familiarity with relevant Kenya air laws and International air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.
  • Assist the Commander as requested, concerning administrative duties in relation to the flight.
  • Function in a team environment with flight mission crew and other staff and assist with patient care where practical.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of company flights in accordance to legal and company policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient and economical operation.
  • Carry out such duties concerning the flight, in accordance with company standard operating procedures including performance relating to the specific aircraft type as allocated by the commander.
  • Assisting the Chief Pilot office in matters related to flight operations including safety and quality assurance activities.
  • Represent and uphold company values and positively promote the public profile of AMREF Flying Doctors
  • And other work related duties as may be required


    Required Qualifications


  • Must hold a valid Kenyan ATPL or CPL with multi engine instrument rating
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours flying experience
  • Minimum of 500 hours on turbine engine experience
  • Minimum of 250 hours on multi- engine aircraft
  • Minimum of 200 hours command time
  • Minimum 100 hours on type
  • Have a strong understanding of Kenyan Civil Aviation Regulations
