Amentum Fire Protection Technician Jobs in Kenya; The Fire Protection Technician is responsible for supporting fire prevention, safety, and protection activities by adhering to established protocols and maintaining a safe environment for personnel and facilities.

Job Responsibilities

Know the locations of all fire alarms and demonstrate the ability to activate them in case of an emergency.

Handle and store combustible supplies, materials, waste, and trash in a manner that prevents fire hazards and ensures safety for personnel and facilities.

Inspect storage areas and workspaces to identify and mitigate potential fire risks.

Follow all safety guidelines and fire prevention practices to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Participate in fire safety training programs to maintain knowledge of fire protection standards and response protocols.

Collaborate with the Fire and Emergency Services Department to identify and address potential fire safety hazards.

Report safety violations, fire risks, or faulty equipment to the appropriate personnel for immediate resolution.

Assist with workplace safety initiatives to promote fire safety awareness across the organization.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Fundamental knowledge of fire safety and prevention practices, including proper handling and storage of combustible materials.

Proven ability to identify fire safety risks and enforce best practices for fire protection.

Excellent attention

to detail and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a hazard‑free environment.

Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi‑national workforce.

Valid country driver’s license.

Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).

Previous experience in fire safety or occupational health and safety operations, particularly in high‑risk environments.

Familiarity with fire protection equipment, alarm systems, and emergency response procedures.

Strong communication skills and experience promoting workplace fire safety awareness.
