Amentum DDC Technician (Water Systems) Jobs in Kenya;Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a DDC Technician (Water Systems) to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia. The technician will assist in performing inspection, survey, data review, and corrective action updates necessary for the ongoing maintenance and certification of water systems as specified in CNIC M‑5090.1A.
Job Responsibilities
Inspection & Compliance
Support inspections, surveys, and data reviews for Certificate to Operate (CTO) processes.
Conduct sanitary surveys and provide detailed assessments of water systems.
Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and collect accurate data.
Update POAM (Plan of Action and Milestones) with corrective actions.
Identify and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies.
Documentation & Reporting
Review existing documentation and prepare compliance reports.
Maintain proper documentation for regulatory compliance.
Support performance evaluations, testing, and maintenance of water systems.
Coordinate with internal departments, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
Stay updated on CNIC M‑5090.1A guidelines and industry standards.
Minimum Requirements
2–3 years’ experience in inspection, assessment, maintenance, and compliance of water systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with CTO review processes and CNIC M‑5090.1A guidelines.
Experience conducting sanitary surveys and responding to RFIs.
Strong technical knowledge of water treatment systems and infrastructure.
Detail‑oriented with proven documentation and POAM updating skills.
Working knowledge of
industry standards and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Valid passport (minimum 1 year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance.
Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in austere OCONUS environments with multi‑national workforce.
Valid driver’s license and country visa (as required).
Certifications in water systems management or drinking water treatment/distribution.
Knowledge of Navy utility and infrastructure systems.
Technical certifications in environmental engineering or water treatment operations.
Familiarity with tools and equipment used in water systems maintenance.
Other Responsibilities

Maintain a safety culture, complete training, and participate in emergency response tasks.
Quality
Conform to Amentum Quality Policy and ensure customer satisfaction.
Procedure Compliance
Implement operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans and policies.
