Amentum Beverage Server Jobs in Kenya; Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Beverage Server to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia. The Beverage Server will provide customer service and professional bartending, adhering to food and beverage handling regulations and serving guidelines to ensure a quality experience for patrons.

Job Responsibilities

Beverage Service

  • Serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

  • Utilize mixology knowledge to prepare common and specialty drinks.

  • Follow established recipes and procedures to meet quality standards.

    Compliance & Safety

  • Serve beverages in accordance with CNICINST 1710.3 and ServSafe Alcohol guidelines.

  • Verify identification to ensure customers meet minimum legal drinking age (21).

  • Provide food and beverage service in compliance with NAVMED P‑5010‑1 sanitation standards.

    Operations & Customer Service

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and beverage service areas.

  • Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking and securing work areas.

  • Manage POS transactions accurately and handle cash responsibly.

  • Monitor alcohol consumption and intervene when necessary.

  • Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment.

  • Attend required training, including ServSafe Alcohol Server Intervention and annual food sanitation sessions.

    Minimum Requirements

  • At least 6 months’ bartender service experience.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Knowledge of food
    and beverage handling and sanitation practices.

  • Ability to complete required training within 30 days and attend annual recertification.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong ability to follow operational procedures and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling.

  • Valid passport (minimum 1 year validity) and ability to travel internationally.

  • Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in austere OCONUS environments with multi‑national workforce.

  • Valid driver’s license and country visa (as required).

  • Previous bartending experience in military or government facilities.

  • Advanced mixology or bartending certifications.

  • Familiarity with NAVMED P‑5010‑1 and CNICINST 1710.3 regulations.

  • Knowledge of inventory management and beverage stocktaking.

  • Ability to handle high‑volume beverage service operations efficiently.
