Amel International Services Limited Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Nigeria;As production operations continue to grow, strengthening the Engineering team is essential to maintaining equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring consistent performance.

The Mechanical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring production equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation, assembly, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and equipment

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery

Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and recommend remedies or design modifications

Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and support restoration of equipment to operation

Assist in maintenance activities to minimize production downtime

Inspect equipment and mechanical systems to identify faults and maintenance requirements

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency

Maintain proper maintenance and repair records while ensuring compliance with safety procedures

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Experience

2–4 years’ relevant experience, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing environment

Practical experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of production machinery

Strong root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving skills

Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced production environment

Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
