We are looking for mission-driven, passionate entrepreneurs to run and manage the ALX Central team to sustain the strong start we have established in the program’s pilot run, and expand this to different sites.


The ALX Business Development Fellow will support the ALX Central Team in conducting research on potential investors, partners, etc, profiling and qualifying potential leads; and improving the overall quality of our business development database.

We are looking for a strong researcher and administrator who will provide our business development team with research and leads to build our partnership pipeline.

Responsibilities


  • Conduct research to identify potential investors, partners etc to bolster the business development pipeline
  • Identify and analyze the market’s needs for our various ALX products
  • Research and analyze organisations and market trends to
    support and develop business development strategies
  • Maintain systems and processes that ensure the business development process is efficient, coordinated, and scalable
  • Ensure our business development database is accurately maintained
  • Create and manage collateral for new ALX or AL Group offerings to share with interested potential clients
  • Other related work to build a strong foundation for ALX

    Requirements

  • Strong interest in business development, client management or services, or sales
  • Excellent communicator (written and spoken) and can differentiate communication based on stakeholder
  • Interest in understanding of the Kenyan corporate market from start-ups to multinationals
  • Stellar research and networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen
  • Comfortable with uncertainty, changing priorities and a startup environment, but with knowledge and insight to build structure and systems where needed
  • Passionate about scalable and innovative leadership development
  • Skills: Communication, Problem-solving, relationship building and management, attention to detail, working within high-pressure environments, agile, and resourceful
  • Mindsets: Entrepreneurial, servitude, market-driven, customer-centric, strategic, tactical, and enterprising
