General ObjectiveThe overall objective of the technical support is for the consulting firm to make APME ready for the adoption of/transition to IFRS and to enable produce IFRS compliant financial report and hold a full-fledged IRFS compliant Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual.
Specific objectives of the assignment include:
To conduct gap analysis on the overall current state/practices of APME
Evaluate the impact of IFRS on the current state and recommend on actions to be taken.
Assist APME with IFRS complaint financial statements until its submission of first IFRS compliant financial statement by July 7th, 2021.
Assist in the development of a full-fledged IFRS compliant Accounting Policies and
Procedures Manual.
Job Requirements
Qualification of Team Members
The following are the minimum members to the technical support required:
I- Team Leader:
Chartered Certified Accountant, CPA, ACCA or equivalent or at least Master degree in Accounting & Finance/Management/ Business Studies or equivalent with accounting subjects.
Certificate of Competence and/or authorization for practice of accountancy/Auditing from AABE
Experience
At least of 10 years’ experience in the field of financial accounting and /or auditing. Should have experience of at least one assignment as team leader/project manager/supervisor.
II- Team Member
Chartered Certified Accountant, CPA, ACCA or equivalent or at least Master degree in Finance /
Management/ Business Studies or equivalent with accounting subjects.
Experience
at least of 10 years’ experience in the field of financial accounting and / or auditing.
Should have experience of at least one similar assignment in a key position.
The consulting firm may engage additional staff in proportion to the work as assessed by them.
Qualification of the Firm:
The consulting firm should have the following qualifications and experience to carryout the assignment:
Registration certificate with AABE and other applicable government registering offices.
Renewed Trade License for 2013 E.C.
Tax Clearance Certificate for 2012 E.C
The following are also the minimum requirements to be eligible for the consulting service:
General experience: at least 10 Years in the field of accountancy in the public/ private sector.
Specific experience: the consultant must have at least one-year experience in the field of international Private/ Public sector financial reporting standards (i.e. IFRS/ IPSAS).
Special Requirement: consultant-having experience with the study of similar Assignments (IFRS/IPSAS) in private or government entities shall have added advantage.
