Alliance Française Nairobi Graphic Designer & Digital Content Creator Jobs in Kenya
Missions
Provide artistic direction for communication materials of the Alliance Française de Nairobi.
Ensure consistent implementation of the institution’s visual identity across all communication channels.
Design and produce communication tools related to cultural programming, French language courses, translation services, institutional communication, partnerships, and special projects.
Develop and adapt templates in line with new brand guidelines.
Produce format adaptations and resizing for both print and digital media.
Create visual assets for social media campaigns and digital communication.
Generate creative content ideas and support online engagement strategies.
Prepare and optimize multimedia content before publication.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to meet communication needs and deadlines.
Profile
Strong graphic design and visual communication skills.
Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Understanding of branding systems and editorial design.
Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
Knowledge of social media formats and content production workflows.
Strong attention to detail and consistency.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Interest in arts, culture, and contemporary creative industries.
Motion design and video editing skills (asset).
Knowledge of French (advantageous but not mandatory).
Contract Conditions
Consultancy contract based in Nairobi.
Duty station: Alliance Française de Nairobi – on site, 5 days per week.
Initial duration: 3 months, renewable with potential for further engagement.
Monthly consultancy fee: KES 65,000 (paid end of month, subject to tax).
French language training at Alliance Française (approx. 240 hours, equivalent to full A1–B2 level), valued at KES 90,500.
