Job Description

Alema Farm is in Bishoftu (Debre Zet) and has engaged in different activities such as chicken raising/slaughtering, pig farming, pig mortadella processing, animal feed processing, agro- chemical sales and veterinarian medication distribution.

Alema Farms was established in 1993 and has grown to be one of the larger private poultry and meat producers in Ethiopia.

Job Position: Agronomist with Agro chemical Product experience

Scoop of Work

To prepare, compile, evaluate and follow up with sample testing for registration dossier of pesticides and agro chemicals

To research/identify Seeds, Agrochemicals and Fertilizers for local market distribution and follow up with suppliers;

Conduct technical training, workshop presentations and demonstration of products to clients

Promote new and existing company products in the market and to clients

Analyze sales opportunities, solve customer problems and participate in sales promotions;

Provide input into the annual marketing plan by preparing sales forecasts for products taking into consideration past history, market trends, competitive activity and required sales effort

Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events

Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

BSC in Plant Science or Crop Science or Agronomy

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Skills:

Professional and well experienced on basic computer knowledge

Required excellent communication skills, work independently, strong technically and able to think strategically

Bachelor's
