Responsibilities

  • Managing departmental resources

  • Oversee purchasing activities relating to maintenance works

    Relevant Experience, Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (With a relevant major)
  • At least 7 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Results oriented and a self-starter
  • Excellent coordination and planning skills
  • Ability to make critical Decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Team worker and good management skills

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper fault detection on RAN, Transmission & CORE Elements
  • Assign fault tickets to field support, follow up and close executed tickets
  • Interface with RAN and Transmission Vendors on escalated fault follow up
  • Ensure proper work order process and quality performance after execution so as to meet intended KPIs.
  • Monitor and record faults on cellular sites on Network Management System.
  • Contact regional technicians on duty to attend to Emergencies

    Relevant Experience, Education Qualifications

  • Diploma/HND/University degree in electrical/ electronic from a reputable institution with a bias in telecommunications / IT
  • A minimum of 2yrs experience in Telecommunications.
  • Experience providing field support
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Possess good communication skills

    Responsibilities

  • Managing shifts and assigning responsibilities to the NOC teams
  • Ensuring Preventive Maintenance Reports, Power Meter readings and Fueling Reports are done within the allocated timelines and as per schedule.
  • Ensure proper fault detection on either/all Radio Network & Transmission elements.
  • Ensure first line fault resolution and identification of potential risks and actions are taken to mitigate failure.
  • Making sure all incident reports are resolved, tracking and reporting on resolutions
  • Spares requisition based on escalated faults
  • Weekly Performance analysis based on failure reports.
  • Spares and Consumables Budget Management
  • Compiling reports at scheduled intervals

    Relevant Experience, Education Qualifications

  • Diploma/HND/University degree in electrical/ electronic from a reputable institution with a bias in telecommunications / Computer Science CCNA certification/ CCNP certification
  • A minimum of 3yrs experience in Telecommunications.
  • Experience providing field support
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Good time management skills

    Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled Preventive maintenance
  • Attend to Emergency intervention on call-outs
  • Provide reports to the regional maintenance manager
  • Interface with NOC operator on emergency callouts
  • Acceptance of new Network elements in conjunction with client Engineer.
  • Attend to any customer complaints within their region

    Relevant Experience, Education Qualifications

    Alan Dick and Company Power Technician Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monitoring, acceptance, activation, testing, maintenance and repair of infrastructure equipment and associated electrical, alarming and building monitoring systems as per specifications and operational procedures, in central offices and remote facilities.
  • This includes hands on preventative maintenance (routines) of AC/DC Power, testing of all generator backup systems, associated transfer switches and fuel systems.
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of the physical facilities, structures, security systems, and peripheral systems.
  • Generally, the technician will ensure the site elements like electric fence and accessories are functioning properly and if faulty, fixed immediately.

    Relevant Experience, Education Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
  • Two or more years of previous hands-on service experience
  • At least 3 years' experience working in a similar role
  • Ability to work with teams
  • Good time management skills
  • Attention to details
  • High degree of integrity, reliability, flexibility
  • Someone with a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changes
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Possession of a driving license desirable
