    Responsibilities

  • Maintains 30 hours weekly to see patients at the clinic, providing initiation, treatment, care and follow-up as required.
  • Ensures that all patients access various diagnostic tests. Analyses and evaluates medical procedures and diagnostic tests that promote good clinical outcomes in accordance to standard guidelines.
  • Provides leadership in analysis of reports, tests, examination and facilitation of referrals to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment.
  • Participates in setting up and ensuring that, referrals from other government clinics is operational within the agreed context with the Department of Health and partner institutions.
  • Responsible for maintaining delivery of high quality medical care and efficiency of all services provided within the program.
  • Ultimately responsible for day to day operations and decision making involving front office, nursing, pharmacy, and case management in liaison with appropriate managers/directors
    Prepares monthly and other important reports as necessary and required by AHF management.
  • Interacts and liaises with partners in a manner that is professional and promotes the principle of positive collaboration
  • Undertakes any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Responsibilities

  • Reviews and processes prescriptions and medication orders as per request.
  • Assist pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication orders and prescription.
  • Prepares, fills and compounds drugs orders by AHF physicians and other authorized personnel.
  • Operates and uses appropriate techniques within system for storage, preparation and dispensing of medication agents and follows the healthcare centers policies regarding medication preparation and labeling, controlled substances reconciliation and purchasing of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Provide and supply information or instructions relating to the correct use of drugs supplied.
  • Maintains established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
  • Receives and stores incoming stock or medical supplies according to the SOP and follow regulation
  • Performs along with pharmacist monthly stock count (monthly stock-take).
  • Be able to answer telephone queries prompt and cautiously.
  • Be able to communicates with relevant personnel at Provincial Pharmaceutical Supply Depot (PPSD formerly know as PMSC) to ensure timely delivery of drugs, if requested.
  • Communicates with relevant personnel at Primary Health Care (PHC) sites to ensure timely distribution of pre-dispensed drugs.
  • Provides weekly adherence reports, monthly reports on down referral sites.
  • Provides pharmacy manager with statistical data as required.
