Job Description

  • Maintains bin card, stock cards, store receiving voucher, for all line items in the warehouse and updates on receipt or issue.
  • Under indirect and intermittent supervision from the Finance and Accounting Department, to assist in the management of operation of the warehouse and yard; to assist the Warehouse Manager in directing the work of regular and occasional helpers; to have charge of and be responsible for the operation of the warehouse by making sure all merchandize is safely and diligently stored.
    This position directly reports to the Finance Department while indirectly to the Warehouse Manager.
  • To handle the routine receiving, storing, issuing, and other related work of the unit in accordance with standard procedure set by Agropia.
  • Requisition for replenishment, receive and receipt for, and store materials, tools, spare parts; along with purchased commodities such as sesame, coffee, soya bean, etc.
  • Issue or direct the issuance of commodities, materials, tools, spare parts, etc., according to requisitions and tool slips per company procedure.
  • Maintain records as specified by procedure and direction by the Fianace and Accounting Department. Route
    report and requisition copies to proper department. Place requisitions for new and replenishing stocks, and follow-up to insure quick delivery.
  • Make inventories as required.
  • Perform other similar tasks per request by the Finance and Accounting Department and the Warehouse Manager.

    Job Requirements

  • BA Degree in Supplies Management, Accounting, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Must have at least of five years’ work experience for Diploma graduate and two years’ work experience for Degree graduates.
  • Must have good writing and communications skills both in Amharic and English.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff from diverse cultures
  • Basic Microsoft Office application package experience.
  • Must demonstrate strong interest and commitment to family planning and maternal and child health services and the eradication of harmful traditional practices.
  • Must have demonstrable personal integrity and honesty with pleasant personality.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in all aspects of work.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
