Agricultural Finance Corporation Legal Officer Jobs in Kenya; Entry‑level role for degree holders without postgraduate diploma in law or diploma holders. Officers at this level will work under guidance of Legal Officer/Senior and may be deployed to Litigation, Conveyancing & Security Documentation, or Contract & Lease Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain physical and electronic filing systems for legal documents.

  • Assist in preparation, compiling, and filing court documents under guidance of senior officers.

  • File court documents and follow up on service of process.

  • Accompany senior officers to court proceedings and provide support.

  • Monitor deadlines for legal processes and maintain updated schedules.

  • Receive and process requests for legal services from departments and branches.

  • Conduct basic legal research and prepare memoranda, summaries, and reports.

  • Maintain legal databases and tracking systems.

  • Assist in preparation of training materials and compliance awareness sessions.

  • Prepare routine legal correspondence and follow up on pending matters.

  • Perform any other duties assigned to support effective legal operations.

    Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law; or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Law from recognized institution.

  • Valid Certificate in Process Service.

  • 2–3 years’ experience providing legal support.

  • High integrity, ethical standards, and professionalism.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Fulfil requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
