AGL- Africa Global Logistics Operations Controller Jobs in Kenya; Supervise Fleet Planners to ensure effective daily planning, vehicle allocation, and timely dispatch of transport operations. Monitor fleet utilization, driver productivity, and operational KPIs while coordinating with workshops, customers, and internal stakeholders to deliver efficient transport services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Fleet Planners to ensure effective daily trip planning and dispatch.

  • Coordinate transport activities to achieve operational KPIs.

  • Monitor fleet utilization, vehicle availability, and driver productivity.

  • Review and adjust transport schedules based on priorities and customer needs.

  • Coordinate with Workshop to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle availability.

  • Monitor trip execution, loading, dispatch, delivery, turnaround times, and vehicle movements.

  • Manage operational disruptions (breakdowns, accidents, delays, emergencies) with contingency plans.

  • Track fleet performance indicators (utilization, trip completion, turnaround, detention, demurrage).

  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and safety standards.

  • Review and approve daily transport plans prepared by Fleet Planners.

  • Coordinate driver deployment, leave schedules, and manpower requirements.

  • Liaise with customers, shipping lines, depots, and internal stakeholders to resolve challenges.

  • Review operational reports and provide daily,
    weekly, and monthly performance updates.

  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate Fleet Planners for continuous improvement.

  • Lead operational meetings and communicate priorities and expectations.

  • Ensure accurate completion and submission of transport documentation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Fleet & Transport Solutions Manager.
