Aga Khan University Hospital Research Associate - School of Nursing and Midwifery Jobs in Kenya







Job Role / Responsibilities:


You will be responsible to:

  • collaborate with the design and research teams to gather requirements and create app prototypes
    develop and maintain the mobile application for school health services, ensuring optimal performance and usability

  • integrate health resources, wellness exercises, and communication tools into the application
    write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry best practices

  • perform rigorous testing and debugging to ensure the application’s stability and security

  • participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality

  • collaborate with the backend team to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow

  • document development processes and create user guides as needed

  • update the application based on stakeholder feedback and evolving project requirements

  • monitor and evaluate application performance, incorporating improvements as necessary

  • stay updated with the latest Android development trends and technologies to implement innovative solutions

  • conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback and optimize the application’s usability

  • participate in regular meetings with researchers, educators, and other stakeholders to align development efforts with project goals.


    Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

    You should have:

  • a
    bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

  • at least three years of professional experience in Android application development


  • a proven track record of delivering mobile applications from concept to deployment

  • proficiency in Flutter and Java

  • experience with Android SDK and third-party libraries and APIs

  • a strong understanding of UI/UX principles for Android platforms

  • experience in implementing secure and scalable solutions

  • familiarity with testing frameworks for Android applications.
