Aga Khan University Hospital Quality Advisor, Quality Department Jobs in Kenya;Support the implementation of quality and patient safety; enforce compliance with the hospital quality program across assigned departments, working with unit leadership to carry out scheduled quality audits, guiding corrective action formulation and implementation. Support utilization management across clinical departments to deliver cost‑effective patient care and address risk. Provide physician liaison and clinical corporate client support, working closely with care managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support/guidance in reviewing policies to conform to hospital quality and patient safety standards.

  • Lead development of policies and procedures as required.

  • Support departments in process reengineering to optimize efficiency and patient care.

  • Guide interpretation and implementation of policies within the quality and patient safety framework.

  • Train and communicate quality and patient safety issues and best practices across assigned areas.

  • Review accreditation and audit findings; support corrective/preventive action plans.

  • Direct and support data collection, measurement, and presentation for monitoring and improvement.

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for sentinel and adverse events.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement (CQI) and support implementation.

  • Support leaders in identifying utilization management indicators.

  • Support leaders in collecting and applying utilization data in improvement activities.

  • Provide timely utilization outcome reports to clinical director and departmental leaders.

  • Support creation of QVRs incorporating all quality indicators.

  • Train leaders and staff in utilization data collection.

  • Identify gaps in timely data collection and escalate to clinical director.

  • Support timely updates of QVRs per policy.

  • Liaise with hospital statistician
    to integrate departmental QVRs into institutional QVR.

  • Coordinate clinical department support persons for data validation.

  • Aggregate and analyze clinical audit data.

  • Continuously audit compliance with hospital quality and safety program.

  • Coordinate closure of matters from physician feedback to improve satisfaction.

  • Develop indicators and targets; regularly report performance.

  • Provide clinical support to corporate clients via care managers.

  • Carry out any other lawful tasks as assigned by Quality Director/COS.

    Requirements

  • University degree (Master’s preferred); Medical/Clinical qualification an advantage.

  • Health Management background is an added advantage.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical care activities in a healthcare institution.

  • In‑depth understanding of good clinical practice requirements.

  • Strong experience in clinical monitoring functions and knowledge of clinical research.

  • Excellent problem‑solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong data analytical and presentation skills.

  • Good leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
