Aga Khan University Hospital Pool Radiographer, Pool Radiology Jobs in Kenya;Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking a Radiographer to perform high‑quality radiological examinations in line with hospital policy and guidelines. The role ensures patient safety, equipment quality checks, and timely availability of diagnostic images to support accurate reporting. The Radiographer will liaise with doctors and medical staff, uphold radiation safety standards, and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high‑quality radiological examinations as per stipulated policy and guidelines.

  • Ensure patient and machine safety through adequate preparation and daily equipment quality checks.

  • Provide patients with correct information regarding procedures.

  • Monitor patients’ condition throughout the procedure.

  • Liaise with doctors and medical staff to clarify ambiguous radiology requests.

  • Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients, staff, and the public.

  • Document and report equipment faults to the recommended authorities.

  • Maintain accurate records of environment and equipment downtime.

  • Ensure timely availability of images for reporting and dispatch.

  • Participate in hospital and departmental quality initiatives.

  • Perform other duties within the professional circuit as assigned.

    Requirements

  • Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or equivalent.

  • Registration with the Radiation Protection Board of Kenya.

  • Minimum of 1‑year work experience in a busy Radiology Department.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Good customer service skills.
