Aga Khan University Hospital Pool Audiologist Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Examine patients with ear, hearing or balance problems using audiometers and speech analysers.

  • Conduct prescribed hearing tests, interpret findings and determine type of impairment.

  • Provide hearing aids or refer patients for cochlear implants.

  • Evaluate patients on follow‑up and note developments or changes.

  • Educate patients on prevention or delay of hearing loss.

  • Collaborate in multi‑disciplinary screening for newborns, paediatrics and adults.

  • Maintain audiogram records and ensure confidentiality.

  • Assess patient and family education needs and provide appropriate teaching.

  • Instruct patients and families on investigations and follow‑up appointments.

  • Observe infection control practices and maintain safe work environment.

  • Participate in data collection and monitoring of quality indicators.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, reporting incidents or hazards.

  • Engage in continuing education and quality improvement projects.

    Requirements

  • Diploma in Clinical Audiology.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy audiology facility, with paediatric expertise.

  • Knowledge and skills in Pure Tone Audiometry, Speech Audiometry, Tympanometry, OAE, ABR, Neonatal Screening and Visual Reinforcement Audiology.

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
