Aga Khan University Hospital Medical Officer, Outreach Clinic Meru Jobs in Kenya

Responsibilities

  • Review and examine patients consistently (case histories, physical exams, diagnostic studies).

  • Monitor acute and chronically ill patients’ progress regularly.

  • Initiate discussions with patients/caregivers for better diagnostic and therapeutic care.

  • Perform privileged and potentially life‑saving emergency procedures when necessary.

  • Provide evidence‑based screening, wellness exams, risk assessment, early detection and prevention education.

  • Initiate timely consultations with relevant specialists/departments for treatment plans.

  • Establish links with clinic management and main hospital for efficient referrals.

  • Collaborate with clinical and non‑clinical teams to provide patient‑centric, coordinated care.

  • Actively participate in clinic quality initiatives with management and Quality & Patient Safety team.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.

  • Successful completion of at least 1‑year post‑graduate internship.

  • Registration by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.

  • Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate.
