    As an international institution, AKU operates on the core principles of quality, relevance, impact and access.The Department of Internal Medicine is hiring Infectious Disease Fellow.

    The successful candidate will have a duo reporting to Director and Associate Director, Infectious Disease Fellowship.

    Responsibilities

  • Inpatient ID clinical service Inpatient ID consultations (under ID faculty supervision) on patients from Medicine and other clinical services, such as Pediatrics and Surgery
  • Outpatient as per the curriculum, such as HIV, hepatitis, travel, TB, Microbiology laboratory External rotations as per extracurricular of residents and other trainees
  • Active participation in both internal and external ID – related seminars and conferences
  • Research to include submission of manuscript(s) for publication Participation in ID-related committees, such as infection control, antimicrobial stewardship
