The Medical College offers Master of Medicine (M Med) degrees in Anaesthesia, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gyneacology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Radiology, and Surgery.

  • Currently the University offers fellowship programmes in the following specialties: Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Neurology, Neonatology and Paediatric Neurology.


  • Reporting to the Chair, Department of Medicine, the incumbent will undertake clinical, educational and research functions under supervision.

  • The incumbent will admit, consult and undertake diagnosis and treatment of patients admitted under the Nephrology section.

  • S/he will be allowed to order tests and radiology and consult with sub-specialists when necessary to ensure quality, professional and ethical patient care.


  • Applicants must have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B. Ch.B) or equivalent with an MMed or its equivalent in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

  • S/he must have at least one year post training experience and be registered by KMPD as a specialist in Nephrology.

  • Should have demonstrable competency and dexterity with all equipment utilized in the hospital environment.

  • Ability to seek and accept advice and adhere to deadlines.

  • Should demonstrate honesty, integrity, compassion and respect for diversity and apply ethical principles appropriately.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
