Job Summary

  • The Manager will be expected to take a lead role and to direct the ICT department on delivery of agreed annual objectives, interact with various departments on identification of new areas that IT can add value towards realization of Institution's Objectives and vision.

  • In consultation with the senior leadership team, formulate ICT business plans that are aligned to the Hospital Strategy, identify skills gaps and secure necessary skills within IT to deliver on set objectives, formulate and or drive innovative ICT initiatives, change and process improvement, formulate and implement policies to manage and maintain a robust monitoring, controls, business continuity, security, backup and recovery of mission critical systems.

  • Proactively review ICT strategies, policies, plans and technologies in response to the operating environment and business challenges in a manner that supports and optimizes operations whilst at minimum cost,
  • Provide and maintain status reporting on ICT systems, service delivery, incident management,
  • ICT Contracts & SLA compliance and fulfilment levels as required and Budget for and procure ICT systems, services technologies & infrastructure in line business plans.

    Required Qualifications, Attributes and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Business IT or Computer Science - Masters is preferred;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the field of IT, with 2 years in management;
  • Professional Qualification in Project Management would be considered a bonus;
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills and be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Previous training experience in a hospital environment is preferable.
  • Excellent ICT knowledge in system and network administration;
  • Good people management skills;

    Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa Head of Patient Experience and Hospitality Job Vacancies

    Job Summary

  • The Manager will be expected to provide leadership in the management and operations of Patient Services, by ensuring that the patient centeredness and care is emphasized and maintained.
  • Coordinates a timely response to and review of patient or visitor concerns, which includes coordination of the patient satisfaction survey, reporting and follow up improvement thereof. Ensures an appropriate documentation and reporting system for patient or visitor complaints/ grievances and that all complaints and grievances are resolved and feedback provided in compliance with current AKHS standards and other regulatory guidelines
  • Ensures visibility of and access to Patient Relations
    services throughout the hospital, including development and implementation of tools, scripts, and educational programs for staff to improve interactions with patients and to respond to negative patient perceptions
  • To provide leadership and management of the Catering and the Housekeeping support services that will enhance excellent patient experience at the hospital.

    Required Qualifications, Attributes and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration - Masters will be preferred;
    • At least 5 years' experience in the hospitality industry or practice in a similar capacity - experience in a hospital will be considered an advantage;
    • Proficient in MS Office and Computer applications;
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, & work both collaboratively and independently to meet deadlines;
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment;
    • Skilled in objectivity, empathy and is sensitive to patient, visitors, staff and the environment

    Job Summary

  • The executive secretary is responsible for providing support to the Chief Executive office, by providing administrative and executive support that are highly confidential and sensitive.
  • Prepare official corporate documents and correspondence as well as provide protocol support for distinguished clients. Coordinate and facilitate the CEO's calendar to arrange appointments, meeting, conference and travels. Manage all the documentation and filling of records in the CEO's office.

    Required Qualifications, Attributes and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent;
    • 5 years' experience in similar position;
    • Working knowledge and relevant experience of hospital management would be an advantage;
    • Proficient in MS Office suite and computer applications is essential;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Flexible and team player.
