Aga Khan Foundation Workshop Rapporteur Jobs in Kenya



The Rapporteur will support accurate and timely documentation of workshop proceedings by capturing and synthesizing key discussions, decisions, and action points. The role ensures outputs are clearly structured to inform reporting, learning, and follow-up actions.

Scope of Work

  • Attend all assigned sessions (physical or virtual) and actively listen to discussions.

  • Capture key highlights including demographics, main discussion points, insights, feedback, decisions, and action points.

  • Synthesize discussions into clear, structured notes (not verbatim transcription).

  • Engage with facilitators or Schools2030 team for clarification.

  • Produce a comprehensive report consolidating highlights and notes.

  • Revise report based on feedback and submit final version.

    Ethical & Safeguarding Standards
  • Sign AKF’s Safeguarding Statement of Commitment.

  • Abide by AKF’s Safeguarding Manual, Code of Conduct, and communication standards.

  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical reporting standards.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns immediately.

    Deliverables
  • Daily session summaries (if applicable).

  • Draft consolidated report within 2–3 days after the event.

  • Final revised report within 2 days of receiving comments.

    Duration of Assignment

  • Covers workshop duration (1–3 days) including preparation, reporting, and post-event finalisation.

    Reporting Line

  • Reports to designated Schools2030 programme staff.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum diploma in social sciences, education, development studies, communications, or related field.

  • 1–2 years’ experience in documentation, research, programme reporting, or rapporteur role.

  • Proven experience as rapporteur, note-taker, or workshop documentation.

  • Strong writing, synthesis, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and report formatting.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with education or development sectors an advantage.

  • Previous experience with Aga Khan Foundation or development sector preferred.
