Aga Khan Foundation Communications consultant Jobs in Uganda; To support MECPU in documenting project Most Significant Change Stories and designing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials that effectively showcase the impact, outcomes, and achievements of the Kulea Watoto project to stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Communication Consultant:

He/She will ensure he/she manages and maintains his/her equipment properly.

Collect and document 6 Most Significant Change Stories from 6 categories of the key stakeholders including: 1 parent, 1 VHT, 1 division official, 1 teacher, 1 CMC member, and 1 play space volunteers across the three divisions each video will take 2-3 mins.

Work closely with the team to meet photo and video specifications by follow Kulea Watoto communication and branding guidelines with support from the communication and advocacy persons

Submit final media content of at least 7-10mins to the Program Director.

Ensure compliance with MECPU’s data integrity and security policies.

Adhere to AKF and MECP safeguarding and child protection standards.

Requirements and skills

Must have their own high-resolution camera or relevant equipment.

Proven professional experience in photography

and videography.

Proficiency in modern photography equipment and editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Capture One).

Strong understanding of communication best practices and techniques.

At least 5 years of experience in film and video creation, particularly in similar fields.

Bilingual skills (English and Swahili language) are preferred.

Experience with media agencies, international organizations, or NGOs is an asset.

Willingness and availability to travel to project sites within Kampala.
