Aga Khan Education Service Admissions Officer Jobs in Kenya;The Admissions Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting the student admissions and enrolment process from initial enquiry through to admission. The role involves engaging prospective families, providing accurate information about the school, coordinating admissions assessments, maintaining accurate and confidential student records, and supporting current and former students with transcripts and other academic documentation. The Admissions Officer will work closely with the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, and relevant curriculum and Learning Support personnel to ensure a professional, efficient, and responsive admissions experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage admissions and enrolment pipeline, follow up on applications, and support agreed enrolment targets.

  • Provide regular admissions and enrolment reports to the Head Teachers.

  • Strengthen professional and timely communication with prospective and current families.

  • Liaise with the Learning Support team where a prospective learner may require assessment or support.

  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, data management, and secure handling of student records.

  • Update the School Information System (SIS) in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Receive prospective families/students, offer tours around the school, and direct them to relevant personnel.

  • Capture information of prospective students.

  • Provide general information about the school to prospective families, including fees.

  • Make follow‑up calls and emails to prospective families.

  • Liaise with curriculum coordinators, Head Teacher, and Deputy Head Teacher to ensure prospective families have access to relevant information.

  • Facilitate administration of admission exams.

  • Maintain accurate records regarding students’ demographics and
    academic records.

  • Prepare admission letters for new students.

  • File all relevant documents in student files.

  • Print and file reports for all students at the end of each semester.

  • Prepare transcripts and other documents for current and former students.

  • Manage the archive of student files.

  • Carry out other tasks in line with this role as specified by the Head Teacher.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Academic Diploma in Admissions, Education Administration, Business Administration, Customer Service, or a related field.

  • Professional Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in admissions, school administration, customer service, or a similar role.

  • Professional Previous experience working in a school environment will be an added advantage.

  • Professional Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Professional Experience working with a School Information System or other student information database will be an added advantage.
