The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa is an International Baccalaureate World School which seeks to provide students of all backgrounds from primary to higher secondary with an education of the highest standard in order to prepare them for lives characterised by leadership and service.

The Ideal candidate will:

Demonstrate leadership and management skills with initiative, vision and the ability to drive a thriving department to meet the mission of the Academy and the

Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and take a lead in the on-going professional development of teachers

Demonstrate high personal standards with experience of teaching a wide range of classes with the ability to deliver and develop a relevant broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum for students that meets IB expectations

Good communication and interpersonal skills in relating to parents, students and other teachers.

Support teachers across the Senior School in their Unit planning and delivery to ensure highest possible levels of achievement.

Qualifications & Experience:

A Masters in Education

Teaching qualification: PGCE or B.Ed. equivalent — Must be Registered with TSC

10 years' experience in teaching

5 years'

IB DP and MYP experience or strong enquiry based curriculum with 1 year in other leadership role

Strong fluency in English, both in spoken and written communication
