Job Description

Africure Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Ethiopia PLC, is a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant being set up in Addis Ababa at Kilinto Pharmaceutical Industrial Park.

Upon completion, the plant will produce several oral solid and liquid dosage forms of essential medicines for the local and export markets in the region. The company is hiring an experienced, competent, highly committed and ethical Site Civil Engineer.

The Site Civil Engineer reports to the Site General Manager.

The position is responsible for managing parts of the plant civil construction project, providing technical advice, supervising staff on site and ensuring that the construction packages are completed on time and within budget.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

Managing parts of construction projects
Overseeing the entire construction work
Undertaking surveys

Setting out sites and organizing facilities

Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly

Supervising contracted staff

Ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales

Liaising with clients,

subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager

Providing technical advice and solving problems on site

Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork

Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials

Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to

You will be expected to work out on a construction site in all weathers during the construction period.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and training required:

BSC in Civil Engineering from a renowned university

At least five years of experience
