African Wildlife Foundation Compliance Intern Jobs in Kenya;The Compliance Intern will provide administrative and coordination support to the Compliance function, with responsibility for maintaining and updating trackers, calendars, records, and documentation. The role supports audit and assurance administration, compliance monitoring, statutory and regulatory compliance tracking, and other activities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Assurance Administration

  • Maintain Audit and Assurance Calendars, capturing milestones and deadlines.

  • Provide administrative support for internal, external, statutory, donor, and other audits.

  • Track timelines, deliverables, and maintain organized audit files.

  • Support preparation of audit status updates and provide logistical support.

    Compliance Monitoring & Reviews

  • Support implementation of compliance monitoring activities.

  • Assist in collecting and compiling documentation for reviews.

  • Conduct preliminary checks of compliance folders and escalate gaps.

  • Support documentation of observations and follow‑up requirements.

    Statutory & Regulatory Compliance Support

  • Maintain trackers for statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor filing deadlines, registrations, licenses, and compliance obligations.

  • Issue reminders and follow up with country offices on submissions.

  • Maintain organized records of compliance submissions.

    Meeting, Action & Document Management

  • Provide administrative support for compliance meetings.

  • Prepare materials, take minutes, and track action points.

  • Maintain organized records of meetings, decisions, and correspondence.

  • Reconcile and update compliance records and trackers.

    Other Compliance Support

  • Assist with documentation and administrative assignments.

  • Participate in compliance, audit, and monitoring activities as assigned.

    Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Audit, Risk Management, Governance, or related field.

  • At least 1 year of experience in compliance, audit, assurance, risk, internal controls, finance, or administration an advantage.

  • Ability to maintain trackers, calendars, and records.

  • Integrity, confidentiality, accountability, initiative, teamwork, and willingness to learn.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

  • Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
