Background

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) was established in 2001 as a Pan-African Non-Governmental Organization. Its mission is to generate evidence, strengthen research and related capacity in the Africa Research & Development ecosystem, and engage with decision makers to inform action on health and development.

To effectively execute this mandate, the APHRC sources its talent from across the global market and particularly from sub-Saharan Africa.

APHRC has had tremendous changes and growth in its systems, staff numbers, number and nature of projects as well as number of jobs. In addition, APHRC recently developed a new five-year Strategic Plan that created a new organizational structure.

In order to optimize and free up essential resources within the human resources operational unit, and lessen operational risks inherent with rapid growth, APHRC seeks the services of a HR recruitment consultancy firm to support with sourcing talent for our key functions.

Objective

The objective of this consultancy is to offer a recruitment and selection service that matches our need for both regular hires and consultants. The Consultant will facilitate the delivery of fast and effective results for recruitment solutions - attracting, motivating and selecting the best candidates.

It is imperative that the end-to-end recruitment process consistently demonstrates diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) best practices.
