African Institute for Development Policy Resource Mobilisation Officer Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a motivated and experienced Resource Mobilisation Officer to join AFIDEP’s Business Development Unit. The postholder will support implementation of the Resource Mobilisation Strategy, coordinate donor engagement, strengthen partnerships and contribute to securing sustainable and diversified funding for the Institute.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Opportunity Mapping

  • Contribute to implementation of the Business Development work plan.

  • Research and identify potential funders and update fundraising tools.

  • Scan for relevant calls for proposals and generate summaries.

    Partnership & Funder Engagement

  • Support establishment and maintenance of collaborative relationships with partners.

  • Coordinate engagement with funders and partners.

  • Populate partnership assessment and due diligence documentation.

    Proposal Development Support

  • Conduct background research and collate project information.

  • Support registration on funders’ online submission platforms.

  • Contribute to proposal development and customisation of CVs.

    Events, Monitoring & Reporting

  • Support planning and participation in resource mobilisation events.

  • Monitor departmental impact and contribute to reporting.

  • Undertake miscellaneous tasks as required.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Master’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Humanities, Communications,
    Business Development or related field.

    Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in resource mobilisation, business development or donor engagement.

  • Knowledge of funding regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Strong research and analytical skills.

  • Experience in planning and coordinating strategic events.

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.

    Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Planning and organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Collaboration and teamwork in multicultural environments.

  • Proactive, results‑oriented and initiative‑driven approach.
