Africa Nazarene University (ANU) is an accredited Private Christian University sponsored by the Church of Nazarene International, which follows the Wesleyan Holiness Tradition.
It integrates faith with learning to produce well rounded individuals who are able to meet challenges of their times.
Applications are invited from qualified professionals to fill the following positions:
Senior Lecturer in Criminal Justice and Security Studies (One Post)
Qualifications and Experience
Must have:
A PhD or equivalent degree qualification in either criminology or security management or law or sociology or psychology with a bias in criminal justice management or police studies (or Master’s degree qualification in special cases) from a recognized/accredited university;
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer or six (6) years research/industry experience;
A minimum of thirty two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
Supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;
Registered with the relevant professional body.
Demonstrated classroom skills as evidenced by student evaluation and peer reviews by moderators
Demonstrated evidence of success in some major non-teaching responsibilities at the University or other reputable organization will be an added advantage.
Senior Lecturer, Computer Science and Information Technology (One Post)
Qualifications and Experience
Must have:
A PhD degree qualification in computer Science from a recognized/accredited university;
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer or six (6) years research/industry experience;
Teaching areas preferably a combination of any two of the following areas: computer networking (Cisco or Huawei certification will be an added advantage), computer programming (proficiency in modern day languages like C#, Python), mobile & cloud computing, and electronics.
Professional /industrial
experience certification e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CISA will be an added advantage;
A minimum of thirty two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals and preferably relevant publications in the field of computing;
Supervised at least three (3) post-graduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;
Registered with the relevant professional body.
Demonstrated classroom skills as evidenced by student evaluation and peer reviews by moderators
Demonstrated evidence of success in administrative positions for at least three (3) years as a Chair of Department or Dean at the University or other reputable
Institution of Higher learning will be an added advantage.
