Africa Nazarene University Dean - School of Business Jobs in Kenya; The Dean serves as the chief academic officer and administrator of the School, reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic & Student Affairs. The Dean ensures the School’s commitment to providing high‑quality education that prepares students to be effective, ethical and competent professionals. Responsibilities include overseeing academic programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, aligning with the University’s strategic vision, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Job Purpose & Expectations

  • Develop and monitor implementation of strategies, policies and standards to enhance quality assurance.

  • Oversee enrollment growth and student retention.

  • Promote the distinctiveness of the School and its programs.

  • Lead fundraising and revenue development to support scholarships, staff and faculty growth.

  • Manage risk processes and identify emerging trends in administration.

  • Strengthen alumni, civic and university engagement.

  • Foster open communication, inclusivity, transparency and accountability.

  • Plan and execute the School’s budget, ensuring efficient operations.

  • Support faculty development, research, grant procurement and scholarly activities.

  • Advance diversity and inclusion initiatives.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems or equivalent Doctoral degree.

  • Minimum 10 years’ teaching or practice experience in the field.

  • Proven fundraising experience and ability to secure external gifts, grants and funding.

  • Evidence
    of scholarly publications and professional achievement sufficient for appointment as Professor, Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer.

  • Demonstrated ability to foster relationships with donors, alumni and community stakeholders.

  • Experience with national and international educational issues.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Commitment to shared governance with faculty.

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.

  • Strategic, ethical and effective leadership skills with a track record of innovation.

  • Effective communicator with integrity, judgment and emotional intelligence.

  • Knowledge of regulator accreditation procedures and standards.

  • Ability to facilitate small and large group discussions.

  • Relevant professional qualification and membership in a professional body.
