Job Description

The CANAL + Group is pursuing its international development strategy after its presence in more than 25 African countries, Vietnam and Myanmar in Asia and Poland.

Canal+ International distributes more than 300 satellite channels in its markets around the world . It offers personalized channel offers for each of its markets.

CANAL + Group's ambition in Ethiopia is to bring, in partnership with its local distributor, a new and affordable TV experience with the best local and international content in Ethiopia.

This new product will consist of a package of channels with a high quality of local content and new international channels, which will be dubbed and understood by all Ethiopian households.

As part of this development, the CANAL+ group is looking for dynamic and motivated employees to get involved in an ambitious and innovative project in Ethiopia .

Position environment :

Reporting to the General Management and in charge of business development

Missions of the position:

The Sales Director determines, in collaboration with the General Management, the strategic orientations, objectives to be achieved and the means to be put in place, after analysis and evaluation of the various market components to develop recruitment and subscriber renewal on the offers.

Her/his missions are:

  • Achieve annual subscription sales volume
    targets
  • Definition and implementation of the subsidiary's renewal action plan
  • Implement action plans according to th portfolio managed (brands, distribution network, local authorities, telecom/FAI operators, etc.) to achieve volumes
  • Observe and analyze competitive offers and propose ad hoc actions
  • Manage the BtoC and BtoB teams and manage the set-top box fleet of the distribution network
  • Develop the structures of our partners with the objective of increasing the number of subscribers
  • Carry out the store deployment plan: from the identification of locations to the opening
  • Manage a sales force (+ 50 people) . Establish training programs in order to develop teams' skills in their different missions
  • Participate in the animation of conventions and seminars and set up stimulation operations (e. g. distribution network) and sales force
  • Guarantee the exemplarity of the network itself (merchandising, customer relations, achievement of objectives, etc.)

    Job Requirements

  • Training. professional experience and reguired skills:
  • Level of higher education such as business school or university business and/or marketing training
  • 10 years of experience in the distribution of products on the national territory
  • Strong business acumen and operational expectations
  • Fluent in French, English and Amharic
