ACT Alliance Project Finance Officer Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Project Finance Officer to provide dedicated finance and accounting support for the project “Accelerating Adaptation Action Through Faith‑Led Advocacy in Africa,” ensuring accurate accounting, close monitoring of expenditure, compliance with donor requirements, and timely financial reporting.

Job Summary
Provide finance and accounting support for the project.
Ensure accurate project accounting and monitoring of expenditure.
Guarantee compliance with donor and ACT Alliance requirements.
Deliver timely financial reporting and complete supporting documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Common Accountabilities
Contribute to one integrated ACT Alliance under shared strategic direction.
Promote accountability, dignity, inclusion, non‑discrimination, gender equity, and locally led approaches.
Collaborate with project, programme, and finance colleagues to strengthen compliance and learning.
Ensure compliance with ACT Alliance policies (Code of Conduct, safeguarding, conflict of interest, complaints, safety, security, travel, environmental, finance).
Contribute to planning, monitoring, reporting, learning, and risk management.
Role‑Specific Responsibilities
Maintain accurate project financial records and supporting documentation.
Monitor expenditure against donor budget; identify variances and risks.
Review expenditure for eligibility, authorisation, and compliance.
Prepare timely and accurate donor financial reports.
Review invoices, contracts, payments, and supporting records.
Provide budget monitoring information to project team.
Monitor sub‑grants and partner expenditure; reconcile records and
resolve discrepancies.
Prepare documentation for donor audits and budget revisions.
Supervision & Accountability
Reports to Project Manager (line manager) and Finance Manager (technical manager).
Works closely with project team, finance colleagues, partners, donors, and auditors.
Skills and Experience
University degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, business administration, grants management, or related field.
3–5 years of relevant finance and project accounting experience.
Experience in project accounting, budget monitoring, donor reporting, and compliance.
Knowledge of donor financial requirements.
Experience monitoring expenditure, reviewing documentation, reconciling accounts.
Experience with sub‑grants or partner financial reports desirable.
Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
Excellent written and spoken English; local languages an asset.
