Key Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the water and irrigation sector.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
Conduct client visits, site assessments, consultations, and product presentations.
Understand customer requirements and recommend technical solutions.
Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.
Follow up on quotations, tenders, and opportunities through closure.
Meet agreed sales targets and revenue objectives.
Water & Irrigation Solutions
Provide technical guidance on irrigation systems, water management, pumps, and equipment.
Interpret technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and project requirements.
Assist clients in selecting suitable products and systems.
Conduct site assessments and provide technical recommendations.
Work with technical teams to ensure solutions are practical and viable.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, and engineers.
Engage developers, government institutions, and industry stakeholders.
Handle customer enquiries and provide timely responses.
Maintain regular follow‑ups to strengthen long‑term relationships.
Tendering & Commercial Support
Monitor relevant tenders and project opportunities.
Review tender documents and specifications.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
Coordinate with internal teams for accurate pricing and documentation.
Participate in negotiations and commercial discussions.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Identify
potential projects and customer segments.
Maintain accurate sales records and pipelines.
Prepare forecasts and performance reports.
Provide management with market feedback and recommendations.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
Work closely with engineering, procurement, finance, logistics, and operations teams.
Coordinate technical requirements from enquiry through delivery.
Support after‑sales engagement and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Agricultural, Water, Irrigation, or related Engineering field.
5–10 years’ experience in technical sales, preferably in water and irrigation.
Direct experience in water and irrigation sector.
Proven track record in B2B technical sales and business development.
Experience dealing with contractors, consultants, engineers, developers, or institutional clients.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
