Acacia Foundation Limited Senior Debt Collector Jobs in Uganda;Responsible for active recovery of overdue and difficult customer accounts, including direct engagement, negotiation of payment arrangements, preparation of recovery documentation and coordination of legal recovery actions.

Key Responsibilities

Actively pursue overdue debts via calls, correspondence and visits.

Review debtor accounts and establish recovery strategies.

Negotiate payment plans, settlements and recovery arrangements.

Issue demand notices and prepare legal recovery documentation.

Handle disputed accounts and escalate to legal proceedings.

Liaise with external lawyers, bailiffs, courts and enforcement parties.

Conduct field visits to debtors throughout Uganda.

Maintain accurate records of recovery actions and payments.

Monitor payment plans and follow up on defaults.

Provide management with regular debt recovery reports.

Collaborate with Finance, Sales and Management to resolve disputes.

Ensure recovery activities comply with laws and company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from recognized institution.

Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LDC).

Enrolled Advocate in Uganda with valid Practicing Certificate.

Minimum 7+ years’ proven experience in commercial debt recovery.

Strong track record in recovering difficult debts.

Knowledge of Ugandan commercial, contractual and debt recovery procedures.

Experience drafting demand letters, settlement agreements and recovery documentation.

Strong negotiation, communication and dispute‑resolution skills.

Ability to deal firmly and professionally with difficult debtors.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Willingness to undertake regular field visits and travel.
