Job Purpose / Objective:

Maintain and repair construction machinery and vehicles to ensure optimal performance, minimize downtime, and contribute to the efficiency of road construction projects.
Ensuring the reliability, functionality, and safety of construction equipment to support project operations.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on construction equipment, machinery, and vehicles.

• Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in machinery and vehicles.

• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

• Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns.

• Parts Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts and components to ensure equipment functionality.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

• Safety Checks: Ensure equipment meets safety standards and guidelines before use.

• Equipment Testing: Conduct tests and performance checks after repairs or maintenance.

• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.

• Emergency Repairs: Address breakdowns and emergency repairs to minimize project delays.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate test results and provide recommendations.

• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Equipment Downtime: Minimizing downtime due to equipment breakdowns.

• Equipment Reliability: Ensuring reliable performance of machinery and vehicles.

• Maintenance Compliance: Adherence to scheduled maintenance and preventive tasks.

• Repair Efficiency: Timely and effective resolution of equipment repair issues.

• Safety Adherence: Ensuring equipment

meets safety standards before use.

Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• Mechanical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and vehicle systems.

• Diagnostic Skills: Skill in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in machinery.

• Repair Proficiency: Proficiency in repairing heavy machinery and vehicles.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems.

• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in maintenance and repairs.

• Safety Awareness: Prioritizing safety during repairs and maintenance.

• Technical Proficiency: Skill in using tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.

• Time Management: Efficiently managing maintenance and repair tasks.

• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

• Working experience: Possession 5 years working experience in the field.
