Job Purpose / Objective:

Assemble, mould, and finish pre-cast concrete components used in road construction projects.
Contributes to creating durable and quality pre-cast elements that form the foundation of road infrastructure.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Moulding and Casting: Prepare molds, pour concrete mix, and ensure proper compaction to create pre-cast elements.

• Finishing: Smooth surfaces, remove imperfections, and apply finishes to pre-cast components for an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

• Quality Assurance: Inspect pre-cast elements for defects, ensure adherence to design specifications, and maintain quality standards.

• Health and Safety: Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Material Handling: Move and position raw materials, molds, and finished pre-cast components using appropriate equipment.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with fellow masons, machine operators, and supervisors to ensure efficient production.

• Tool Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools, such as trowels and brushes, to ensure optimal performance.

• Documentation: Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.

• Efficiency Optimization: Work diligently to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Cleaning and Organization: Keep work area clean, organized, and free from debris for a safe and efficient workspace.

• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Production Output: Measuring the quantity of pre-cast elements produced within a specified timeframe.

• Quality Compliance: Ensuring that pre-cast elements meet design specifications and quality standards.

• Safety Record: Adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.

• Defect Rate: Minimizing the number of defects or imperfections in finished pre-cast components.

• Material Utilization: Efficient use of raw materials to minimize waste and optimize production.

• Communication Effectiveness: Collaborating smoothly with fellow masons and supervisors.

• Tool Maintenance: Keeping

tools clean and well-maintained for optimal performance.

• Documentation Accuracy: Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• Masonry Skills: Proficiency in concrete casting, finishing techniques, and material handling.

• Quality Control: Ability to identify defects, ensure uniformity, and maintain quality standards.

• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines.

• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate measurements, precise placement, and quality finishes.

• Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork with fellow masons and other team members.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual tasks, lift heavy materials, and work on your feet for extended periods.

• Tool Proficiency: Skill in using and maintaining masonry tools, such as trowels and brushes.

• Problem-Solving: Capability to address challenges and make adjustments as needed.

• Adaptability: Flexibility to work with different types of pre-cast components and molds.

• Efficiency: Working diligently to meet production targets without compromising quality.

• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

• Working experience: Possession 10 years working experience at least 5 of them at a supervisory level.
